AquaMarine RIB Surface Preparation

BEFORE YOU START: SURFACE PREPARATION OF A NEW OR UNPAINTED SURFACE

Should the surface be of satisfactory condition, colour and appearance, AquaMarine Rib can be applied directly to the surface. Thoroughly clean and degrease the surface with AquaMarine PREP WASH and rinse with clean water. If you are preparing a previously used boat, remove all forms of hard fouling such as barnacles, weed and slime and all antifoul and then wash the surface thoroughly using PREP WASH as directed. Then rinse with clean water.

AquaMarine RIB Application

AquaMarine RIB PREP

APPLICATION

Protective clothing should be worn in accordance with the COSHH/MSDS sheets.

After removing any slime or seaweed, thoroughly wash the tubes and rinse well with clean water.

MIXING

Material is supplied ready to use. Stir contents well prior to use. If the paint is too viscous, place the tin in a warm water bath.

AquaMarine RIB FINISH

APPLICATION

AquaMarine Rib only requires one coat.

To achieve the correct coating thickness, apply AquaMarine Rib with a fine haired roller (supplied).

Do not apply too much at a time as it may run.

When applying the coating use a horizontal stroke followed by a vertical action to ‘lay off’ the coating. This will give it a smooth finish.
